Nestled amongst some of the most reputable names in luxury retail; our enticing sugar-filled Delectable outlet is perched on the 2nd floor of The Gardens Mall Midvalley City; KL. (s-213) right below the premier movie theater two floors above us.

Launched in the beginning of May; we have very confidently baked our way into the hearts of many cake; dessert and art lovers all over Malaysia! An array of creatively done sugar crafted cakes are displayed throughout the lovely white minimalistic Parisian style studio filled with little interesting tidbits to discover and be inspired from.

A dramatic crystal Egyptian chandelier lights up the center of the store; drawing attention of the iMac screen right beneath it which showcases Su’s past artworks and projects in a video slide-show throughout the day. The decorative cornice moldings and their shelves are filled up daily with delicious goodies by our Delectable elves who bring them in fresh every morning! From cupcakes, cookies, cakes, brownies, truffles to even savoury little treats! There’s something you’re bound to find to tickle your fancy.

If you’re looking for the desserts you’ve heard so much about; the goodies are displayed in our refrigerated shelf which can be viewed from under our yellow and white stripped canopy on the left. There are miniature tiered cakes, layered desserts, a host of chocolatey delights and even a range of fresh fruit smoothies to nourish your body and soul! *giggle*  The seven sins of chocolate is probably what you should be keeping your eyes peeled for! It’s seven different layers of cocoa components which are matched perfectly to create and amazing combination to knock any chocoholic off their feet! Don’t say you hadn’t been warned…they go off our shelves fast!

My enthusiastic crew of Delectable ladies will be able to give you a hand with any queries or requests you may have. They are just so incredibly charming! everyone can’t help but love em’!

Aida Salleh is my right-hand.. the store manager and my personal assistant. Witty, patient and always pleasant; she is my ‘Da’! Aida is a nutritionist by profession who believes more in beneficial nutrition for the heart in the form of desserts! She loves to bake yummy fun things with healthy varieties; it really is quite a feat to accomplish! Contrary to popular belief.. Da is actually Malay… and so does not speak much Cantonese or any form of Chinese dialect; beyond ‘lah’! hehe.

Jean is our Delectable gem! Everything about her is just so mindbogglingly excellent! She keeps the store records and paperwork recordings and all admin work in check. She’s a perfectionist who is efficient, intelligent and just plain quick! Too quick for Boss to catch up sometimes! *haha*

I’ve got a diverse team of girls from soft-spoken and beautiful sweethearts like Jackie.. to vibrant personalities like our funny girl; Lex who comes in because she loves it so much! They just make my work with Delectable much more enjoyable and fulfilling. They bring colour and life to my store with their lovely personalities! There are also several new faces to look out for in our stores in the next couple of months; Kah Mun, Nat and Suwena have just climbed on board our Delectable ship~

I think it has something to do with all that sugar in the store that makes them Delectable elves so sweet and irresistable!! *giggle*

So where do all these delicious things get made? Well… ah hah! These are where the rest of us baker Elves hang out. I’ve got a crew of several full and part time elves on the production side of things. We’ve got Ms Lau; Ms Joanne, Cecelia and our baby baker Xiaoly predominantly making sure all Delectable goodies are out on time and fresh everyday! From organizing the stock, the accounts, the inventory, baking and the decorating prep…. there really is so much to do! This Su-”Boss elf” couldn’t possibly do it all without their long hours and dedication to only putting the best out on sale. I get to do what I love best which is sculpting, designing and decorating my weekly cake projects with them helping out with the consistency of our shop on shelf items for hungry customers who come by for something delicious! I’m lucky to have such a talented and loving group of people to work with everyday. It makes my job fun!
